The Georgetown Golf Course will be open on
April 1st.
2011 Golf Rates (click here) - Georgetown's 9-hole golf course is
open to the public (you don’t have to be a member to enjoy this
excellent Par 28 golf course)!
Junior Discretionary Testing: To golf on our course unaccompanied you
must be at least 14 years old or have a Junior Discretionary Pass. Passes
are available to members ages 10-14 and require a 1.5 hour session
emphasizing safety, pace of play and etiquette and a short written test.
Students must bring clubs and wear golf attire because time is spent on the
golf course. Students must pass with a 90% or better in order to receive
their pass. Call or stop in the Pro Shop to sign up soon as space is
limited. You may also email Brian Fitzgerald at aafitz@sbcglobal.net to see
if a mutually agreeable time can be arranged with one of the adult testers.

Junior Golf Program: Our Junior Golf Program is
open to children of all
ages and abilities. The focus will be on providing a safe and fun learning
environment through professional instruction and incentives to increase the
child's potential for success. During the 8-week program, your child will
learn proper golf etiquette and rules of the game, scoring, grip and
posture, alignment, choosing the right club, chipping and putting, bunker
play, and the use of irons and woods. Week 8 will conclude the program with
a tournament and banquet. The program will run on Mondays (9-11am) from June
20th - August 15th (no play on July 4) and will cost $50 for members and
$100 for non-members.
Junior Golf Clinics:
Our Junior Golf Clinic is being run by TGA - Total Golf Adventures. They
will be running week-long golf clinics for children ages 5-17 throughout the
summer months. These clinics are designed to encourage children to learn
about golf through age-appropriate games and techniques to help them better
relate to golf skills and rules. Each clinic session costs $100 for members
of GTCC and $150 for non-members. For more details and sign ups please visit

Men's Golf League
(Mondays & Wednesdays): League play will begin on Monday, April 18th and Wednesday,
April 20th. League
play ends on 8/22/11 and 8/24/11, with a stag day event on the golf course
scheduled for Saturday, 8/27/11 (open to all men’s league players and
subs only). All golf league information can be found on the

Georgetown’s Golf Course: is open to the PUBLIC: Georgetown offers a unique, PUBLIC, nine hole executive golf course. The golf course
is open to the public when not in use for member activities or
leagues. This course is great to practice your short game or teach a
beginner the love of the game.
Par is 28, with one beautiful par 4 where the long ball hitters can
attempt to drive the green!

Please see the age requirements for youth play without an adult.
Members who do not meet the age requirement to play without a
parent/guardian and are between the ages of 10 and 13 but can demonstrate
the knowledge of essential golf rules and etiquette may apply for a junior
discretionary pass in the pro shop. Nonmembers are not eligible for
a junior discretionary pass and must adhere to the course age requirements.
2011 Golf Course Rules & Policies
- Members do not pay greens
fees to play golf.
- USGA rules govern all play,
with the exception of local rules. Proper golf course etiquette
and rules are to be followed.
- Out of bounds are marked by
utility boxes and adjacent streets. Please extend your
consideration and courtesy to Georgetown
property owners. Playing balls from neighbor's yard is not
permitted.
- Each golfer assumes all
risks and danger incidental to the game of golf and is personally
liable for all damage to property or injury to persons, which result
form golfer's actions.
- No walkers are allowed on
the golf course. Any person that does not have proper golf
equipment (2 clubs, putter, and a golf bag) is not permitted on the
course.
- Golfers must repair ball
marks, replace divots and rake bunkers. Carts are not allowed on
the greens.
- The course is for golf play
only. Golfers are to play only one ball.
- Proper golf attire (shirts
and shoes) must be worn on the course. Metal spikes are not
allowed.
- Rental clubs are available
but will not be issued within the last two hours prior to scheduled
close.
- Youth age requirements are
designed to encourage proper knowledge of rules, etiquette and
behavior on the course. Youth members ages ten and older may
apply for a junior discretionary pass to allow for play unaccompanied
by an adult.
- Weekdays: Youth fourteen
years of age and older may play unaccompanied by an adult.
- Weekends: Youth sixteen
years of age and older may play unaccompanied by an adult.
- All golf play begins at the
first tee.
- A maximum of four players
are allowed in a group.
- Time of play is 1.5 hours
for nine holes.
Outings and
Special Events: Georgetown offers a variety of golf outings
and special events throughout the season. These events include
adult/child events, scrambles, invitationals, and
